I am not racing to win a prize. There will be no trophy at the end. I swim knowing only that there is more. I bike knowing only that there is more. And I run knowing only that exhaustion awaits. There is no promotion at the end. No degree, no treasure, no Christmas bonus. The only thing at the end is the end, and I race there because I want to.
